Guthries Ode an die National Maritime Union (NMU) predigt dabei insbesondere die Stärke und Macht der Solidarität: “For me to try to change this whole big mess around by myself / I wouldn’t last longer than a snowball in hell / But there’s a hundred thousand of me now, and we fought like hell to get here / So you fight like hell to keep what we shed blood to earn.” Das cineastische Video zu "All You Fonies" wurde im historischen römischen Amphitheater Les Arènes de Nîmes gedreht, während Dropkick Murphys Anfang des Jahres auf Tour in Frankreich waren.

This Machine Still Kills Fascists

Dropkick Murphys kündigen ihr neues Album "This Machine Still Kills Fascists" an.

Nora Guthrie erklärt, "I collected lyrics on all kinds of topics…lyrics that seemed to be needed to be said – or screamed – today. Ken Casey is a master at understanding Woody’s lyrics, which can be complicated, long, deadly serious, or totally ridiculous. DKM is capable of delivering them all."

“I laid him low with my old .44 And the judge give me 99 / The jury said “you’ll have to pay” The clerk, he looked around / The mean old judge, he spoke my number, Lord Two 6’s upside down”. "'Two 6's Upside Down' is acoustic, but it's still tough”, ergänzt Ken Casey, der sich im Video mit der Band vor der Woody-Guthrie-Statue in Oklahoma versammelt. “It's edgy and these lyrics are menacing. We just wanted to show right out of the gate that even though this album is acoustic, it's still going to have some fire.”
