This year's edition looks a lot abroad: the Spanish/Dutch Raquel Kurpershoek won the International Jury prize, the Bianca D’Aponte International Award and the mention for the Best Music, while the Catalan Escarteen Sisters were awarded mentions for interpretation and arrangement. The Best Lyrics mention goes to the Sardinian Balentia. Also Beija Flor (Sicily), Folkatomik (Piedmont), Walter Laureti (Lazio), Antonio Smiriglia (Sicily) were selected for the final of the contest organized by the Andrea Parodi Foundation with the artistic direction of Elena Ledda.

There were important guests from the Italian and international music scene to alternate on stage with the finalists. On Friday 14th there were Cuncordu and Tenore de Orosei, awarded with the prestigious “Albo D'oro 2022” Award, and Matteo Leone (winner of Premio Andrea Parodi 2021). On the final evening of 15th it was the turn of Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Tosca and the Portuguese singer-songwriter Tiago Nacarato, who received the International Albo D'oro Award and a duet with Tosca. Nacarato's performance is in collaboration with Officina Pasolini, a highly educated creative laboratory and cultural HUB of the Lazio Region, where he performed the following day.

In addition, the Cagliari Conservatory has proposed the performance of some of its students. All guests, as well as the finalists, interpreted a song from Andrea Parodi’s repertoire, whose name and memory give the name to the festival. Parodi, who passed away in 2006, after having been part of Tazenda, begun an important solo career in the World Music field.

The Winner will get a scholarship of € 2,500, as well as the opportunity to perform in some Parodi partner festivals in 2023, such as the European Jazz Expo (Sardinia) and Folkest (Friuli), as well as in the Andrea Parodi Award itself. He will also be able to take advantage of legal and managerial assistance for one year from Siedas. As winners of the critics' prize, Ual-la! will also have the opportunity to create a professional video clip of a song, produced by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. For some of the finalists of the Award there will also be the opportunity to be invited to perform in some of the partner festivals (such as Mare e Miniere, Mo'l'estate Spirit Festival, Musiconnect-Italy).

There are also many side appointments to Premio Andrea Parodi, such as the seminars with Andrea Marco Ricci (Nuovo IMAIE) and Claudio Carboni (SIAE Management Board), the presentation of the book "Storie di straordinaria fonia" (Bertoni publisher) by Foffo Bianchi, Francesca Gaudenzi and Duccio Pasqua, and a round table on "Singing in four in Sardinia: from ritual contexts to World Music" and the awarding of the "Blogfoolk Choice Award", assigned by the online magazine BlogFoolk Magazine to "Still Moving" by Justin Adams & Mauro Durante.
