45th Lorient Interceltic Festival – The Year of Cornwall and the Isle of Man – 7-16 August 2015.
This 45th edition of Lorient Interceltic Festival closed with a massive participation of the public: Third historic best result in the sale of tickets.
Five concerts were sold out (Cotriade, Opening concert «Cornwall and the Isle of Man, an Interceltic celebration», «Contrechamp» carte blanche to the Bagad de Vannes, Carlos Núñez and the Symphony Orchestra of Brittany, Simple Minds).
More than 750,000 festival-goers came to Lorient for the 10 days of the festival. 70,000 people attended this year one of the main event of Lorient Interceltic Festival, the Grand Parade of Celtic Nations. An enthusiastic audience gathered in the streets of Lorient to welcome 3,500 artists from different parts of the world.
This annual event was broadcasted on France 3, public television channel, with excellent results. The Grand Parade of Celtic Nations was followed by more than 1,8 million viewers!
The team of the festival has already begun working on the next edition which will be dedicated to Australia from 5 to 14 August 2016!
